Story ratings

Hi everyone. I've been reading stories here for ages, but I've only just recently started to contribute.

I've got a question about the ratings. Hopefully someone can help me interpret them.

Let's say I've posted something with a rating of 4 / 14. I assume the 4 means the average of star ratings, but what does the 14 mean?

(I looked through the FAQ before asking this question but I couldn't find an answer.)

The first number is your mean score. The second number is the number of votes you have received.

On a side note, I'm writing non-fiction. It is about my cuckold, FLR experience.

Being a neophyte, since I absolutely love my wife, I thought, "Hey, why don't I post my Cuckold/Humiliation story in 'Loving Wives'?"

The reaction I got back from some was pretty violent and that answered my question.

I then posted follow-up under "Fetishes" and it was much better received.

Lesson learned - the category is important.
