Hello and I hope you are all well!

We would like to be able to spend time personally discussing every story issue personally. Unfortunately, as the submission and story edit volume grows, we are not able to do so.

Stories generally take around 48-72 hours to be posted.
If your story has not moved for longer than that, the first thing to do is to check your Pending Stories Folder here.

If your story is not showing on this page, it means that you have not submitted it to us.
Please check your Drafts Folder here.

If your story is showing at the link above, it means your story is still in Drafts. It has not been submitted to us for publication.
Please click on the story. Scroll to the bottom and click the PREVIEW button, then click SUBMIT on the next page.
Once you've done this, please check your Pending Stories folder. Your story should show there now.

If your story is not showing in your Pending Stories folder or Drafts Folder, please check your Sent Back folder.
If your story is there, it means your story has been sent back to you with questions or issues.
You can read the reason it was sent back by clicking on the story title.
Please see this FAQ regarding possible reasons a work may be sent back.
If you have found and fixed the issue, please paste the text in the same submission form and hit SUBMIT.
Please do not add the word EDITED to the title
, as that denotes someone editing an already approved story. Since we process all edits after the new stories are posted, adding the word EDITED to a title will cause a delay in the posting of your new story.
If after reading this post you believe your story was sent back in error, please open the submission, respond in the NOTES field of the submission, and hit SUBMIT. Again, do not add the word EDITED to the title.

A small number of works that require extra attention (edits, Illustrated Works, and other issues that require more time to vet) may take up to 15 days to be processed due to recent high submission volume.
If your story is in your Pending Stories folder and has been pending for fewer than 15 days, please do not click on or alter the submission in any way as that may further delay its publication***.

We are working to get caught up as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, and for sharing your stories!

*** To Clarify: Simply clicking on a pending work will not send it back to the queue. However, we have had numerous cases where an author believed that they had "only clicked" on a pending submission but in fact inadvertently saved or otherwise altered it - thereby sending it to the back of the queue. For this reason, we recommend not clicking on or otherwise opening a submission form unless you intend to make changes.
