Story help and advice please

Helllo everyone I have submitted two chapters of a story I am workin on called "Father Donelly" in a nut shell it is about a recently divorced woman who becomes a secetary at a Catholic church. She is soon working on a project with the assistant Priest and soon their passion overcomes them and they make love. Afterwards the assistant priest avoids the secetary at all costs because he is feeling guilty due to the morality issue and decides to go to South Africa to help a relief effort there. Ok now from this point my story could take on many diffrent roles and was wanting to get some good ideas from all of you!

Any particular reason for South Africa as a destination?

Is this story about Fr. Donnelly's descent into depravity, a love story, or both? Do you intend for him to return and reconnect with the Divorcee, or is this a story of his struggle with the "morality" of defying the Church's requirement of chastity?

You need to decide on the overall direction the story is going to take before you can decide on particulars.

My story idea

I will eventually have them meet again I am not sure if they will stay together or not and Chloe will be pregnant with his child I know that much if that helps lol

OK, so it's a romantic tragedy kind of thing then.

Since you've already sent Fr. Donnelly off to Africa to escape his carnal urges, he's going to have to encounter more temptation he can't resist to keep the story interesting.

I guess the simplest way to acomplish that is to send him into the bush to a village that's short of males and filled with nubile, topless, horny, aggressively grateful women. Let the village women cater to his every need, bathing him, dancing for him, feeding him choice tidbits, cuddling him when he has nightmares, etc.

In the process, expose him to some native philosphy that causes him to question the Church's restrictions and his feelings about sensuality.

There is nothing particularly new about the plotline I'm suggesting btw. It's your excectuion of theplot that will make it interesting.
