Desdmona.com is now accepting entries for our next big story contest, Desdmona’s 2005 2000-Word Erotic Short Story Contest.

We’ve thrown a lot of themes at you in the past, and now it’s time to see what you folks come up with when you’re writing on your own. There is no theme for this contest. All we ask is your story be hot, sexy, original, and 2000-words long or less. We expect a wide open contest with stories from all across the board. So write what you write best and send it in. It should be our wildest contest yet. We’re looking forward to being surprised and titillated.

Desdmona’s 2005 Erotic 2000-Word Short Story Contest is an erotic short story contest. There is no entry fee. Stories must be received by Thursday, September 1, 2005. Prizes will be awarded to the judges’ three favorite stories:

First prize: $250
Second prize: $150
Third prize: $75

Honorable mention prizes of $25 will be awarded at the discretion of desdmona.com and the judges.

Winners will be picked by our a panel of fantastic judges and will be based on quality of writing, erotic appeal, and originality. Please, be imaginative! The winning stories and honorable mentions will be displayed on desdmona.com on Thursday, September 15, 2005.

I was thinking of starting something for Halloween ... and keeping it SHORT. I'm NOT a wordy bitch, but I'm typically wordier than 2K words if there's any story involved.

Thanks for this little announcement. I would have never found it on my own. It seems the perfect way for me to get my juices flowing again. Keeping the story short should get me focused like a laser, or frustrated. Hmmm...I'm going with frustrated at this point.

Most likely. I've found that I can easily write pure stroke in 1st/2nd person ... but in 3rd I gotta have some story.
