Never usually have a problem but since the 5th of September I've had all my stories stuck in pending.

Never been an issue before usually approved in 48hrs. Have I done something wrong?

Doubtful. But if our site owners took any time off during labor day, no doubt there is a backlog to work through. Patience.

Same as you. No problem until Early July and story pending.

I think it depends a bit on your track record.

In the last week, I have had one story approved in two days, two in one, and another in less than an hour.

I can only recommend patience. Do not delete and resubmit.

Haven't had any issues ever. Always approved in 48hrs.

I can only recommend patience. Do not delete and resubmit.

I've been patient. At 2 weeks, I was patient reading about how busy they were. Maybe too few reviewers. Then one month went by. No news. Then two months and a DM ignored. Still reading that lots of others are in the same situation. Checked and rechecked that it is not in Drafts but is in Pending. I'm resigned to it as we approach the three month mark. I've been writing here for years.

I'm pretty new here, and I just submitted a story a couple days ago. It took about 24 hours to be approved. My approved story is currently still in the "Pending" section but there is now a little "Published" marker in the little story description block. The date on the story was also changed to 09/20/2026. If it works like previous stories, it will go live on the site in the early AM (East coast US time) on 09/20/2026. I believe that is when it will move from my Pending to my Published tab.

From what I've read here, there is also some accidental purgatory your story can end up in, and the site owners need to wave a special magic wand to free it up. I don't know how to direct the site owners to the purgatory stories. It sounds like they might consider it a low-priority task.

If your story is pending longer than a week, the odds are it's going to get rejected eventually. It's been flagged for something ( probably AI ) and is getting bottom-piled.

Ask yourself if you had any content in there that is dancing on the edges of the site rules. If so, you probably want to consider dialing that back and resubmitting.

Did you allow any program to replace your words with its suggestions? ( beyond simple typos and spelling errors ) If you did, get rid of those suggestions and replace them with your own words, because those suggestions were probably generated by AI, and it's getting you flagged.

There's an "id unalive" you joke. But it's clearly a joke.

No. I'm not using an ai. I got a speech to text app to help me lay down my words more quickly and efficiently and I proof read it in Google Docs and then copy and paste it.

What they say is, before thirty days, don't fuck with your submission or it is likely to get re-set and sent to the back of the line as a new submission all over again.

On the second hand, what they don't say is, what to do after thirty days. If it has been more than thirty days, you can put it in front of them again by canceling the submission, deleting the story, and then resubmitting it as a new story into the queue all over again, ideally with a statement in the Notes field on the submission form stating that it was pending for over thirty days and you're resubmitting it.

They know people are doing this. They know it's a work-around. They knew people were recommending this work-around at the time they made the service level statement setting the expectation of thirty days. So there isn't much to direct them to except in the case of a specific story which is pending for over thirty days.

I appreciate that. And I feel for them. I'd just like a little understanding. If it was sent back, why? I've had replys on her of purgatory, ai, or rule breaking.

My main issue is let me know. I've followed all the rules on posting.

No. I know that. Thats my point. Send it back and great ill know the issue. Keeping it in pending for 2 weeks makes no sense
