Stopping the Caravan.....maybe.

I feel no empathy for military-aged male refugees to Europe and the US.

Send the fuckers back to help the women and elders whom they left to fight violence on their own,
and let in only families and the truly vulnerable.

You should have thought that one through. If they practiced your idea, no one would ever be able to leave for a better life. Someone will always be older and someone will always be younger. The strong need to secure a new home and then return to their loved ones after finding a safe harbor.

Weak sauce argument, phrodeau.n:)

Refugee to Europe are there for safety reasons (threat to their lives in war torn countries).
How would sending money back save the lives of the children and elderly that the young men left behind?

Send the breadwinners home, but keep the dependents. How does that make sense?

Situations such as these -regardless of country- also bring up issues like the ethics of resource allocations.

Resources are always limited. As much as people feel for those worse off than them, there are billions out there. So who do you choose? First come, first served?

For example, after letting in all those young male refugees, many European countries almost exhausted their funds, so they can no longer take others in.
Many of whom are far more vulnerable and face bigger perils than the first wave.

I never said anything about sending back monies. Where did you all learn to read?

See the included quote at #227, for clarity.

Are you a phrodeau alt? :D

Lord, please help this misguided youth find your wisdom. Too many of you are interested in the argument instead of taking the time to read what others are actually saying.

Don't mind him, he is the forum idiot who grew up in the mountains of Pakistan. He watches youtube and eats up the geriatric RWCJ derp so he thinks he knows about first world issues.

No, I was just taken aback / or pleasantly amused, depending on the alternative.

I replied to phrodeau's post, after which you said this to me: "I never said anything about ...Where did you all learn to read?"

A Pakistani crushes on the RWCJ in America?

This makes less sense than the original answer.

What difference does it make? Your so-called "breadwinners" do not report that they are living with the mothers who register for benefits as single mothers.

Information on how to navigate and maximize benefits from our welfare system is readily available. The Mexican Government even printed up a pamphlet on how to apply for benefits.
I think your confused. We’re discussing Hondurans, not Kansans.

I didn't understand that either. And why wouldn't we want the Mexican government to hand out pamphlets on how to get assistance? We can't degrade the immigrants for not being educated while also berating them for wanting an education.

Yeah, they are the only ones that dont openly call him an idiot because he is easily manipulated and they like that. His favorite poster is busybody, need I say more?

How about we just follow the law as written?

How about we rewrite the law to have it match the realities of the 21st century? Particularly in regard to those claiming 'refugee' status.

Let's start with the fact that those from nations other than Mexico attempting to enter through our Southern border are already in violation of accepted international norms. And the fact that those that do make it through and are given a court hearing date only 30% (+/-) show up in court. Those that don't show up in court are immediately switched to illegal status and a 'failure to appear' beef is added to their list of transgressions. In all probability they are working the underground economy, also illegally. Not to mention that a goodly many of them are also wanted criminals in their own country.

They are uneducated, unskilled, unhealthy, and we just don't need them.

You're talking about guns, right? :)

Cite for any for any of that?

How many serial killers, domestic terrorists, and school shooters are illegally living in the US?

When was the last time you had an original thought? Rearranging words you heard from 45 and Fox News don't count.
