S/he STOLE my starter-thread!!!
Took it from a different character's point of view, but didn't bother to come up with their own starter, just took mine and ran with it, right down to my descriptions, times, etc.

Should I be as angry as I am?
What a pathetic fake "author".

Can I have it REMOVED?

Check this out:
The "new" story vs. MY story

It's ChooseYourOwnOptions, not ChooseSomeoneElsesOptions!!!!!!!

Nope, you can't have it "removed". I didn't delve into it much, but it seems to me that, as far as the intro is concerned, he did "stole" a line or two in the first 2 paragraphs, but that's about it... Nothing to get too excited about...

Also, I notice your story was not updated since May 19th. That's the date where Chyoo 2.0 was introduced, and it's the last "updated" date of all stories that are abandonned. It might be the reader saw your story, liked it but figured he would start his own since yours had good chances of being an abandonned one... BTW, the e-mail on your profile is valid I hope?

Did you try contacting the new author or not? That's about all you can do.

Don't sweat it!!

I think the new author should have asked if he or she could create a story from the male viewpoint that paralled your story. They appear to be pretty new and may not have given any real thought to using your idea to create their own story. The author also added 15 short threads within the first day the story has been up so they obviously have a lot to say.

An interestng thing to do might be to link the two stories somehow? It would be interesting to see the same incident from two different viewpoints. Maybe the prof would think he was a great sex machine and the young girl was just putting up with him for a grade or something like that.

Imitation is always nice, means you are doing something right I guess. I wouldn't sweat it and just do your own story, and add to the new one if you feel like it.

In my opinion yours has better writing for what its worth.

:D

Thanks! (I think so too but I guess I'm biased. ;) )

I guess the thing that really burns me is that this person didn't even take out my specifics, hell, the prof even has the same office-hours!!!
How lazy do you have to be to change Monday and Wednesday 1-4 to Tuesday and Friday 11-1 or something? Or to come up with your own damn name for the character? Or to change the wording of his spiel and such?
Lazy lazy lazy lazy.

Man.
When I first looked at the name, I thought woman, but those following threads...definitely male.

Hello,
fictionalcharct I wouldn't worry too much about it. As for stealing your story, I am not sure I'd say it was stealing it. The writer borrowed a couple ideas. I do not, in anyway however, agree with using your character. Characters are something that should only be used with permission. I believe a character is almost like a writer's trade mark. So for that you may be pissed off, I'd urge the writer to change the main character's name.

I read both introduction threads and if I hadn't have known to look, I would never have associated the two together. If in the New story, a female came into the room and had her keys clank and such then I'd know. But really, if I hadn't known, I wouldn't have put two and two together.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be contacting the writer.
