Hi People, Using a voice only line-by-line screen reader, I have been going crazy trying to find the new threads, NOT! the new posts links? Y'know? The how to start a new freshly yourself titled thread? I don't "see" the highlighted blue glow that marks a link to click enter on to make replies, start new threads and go to the newposts page columns? My JAWS pronounces it as: Link"and I've been systematically going line by line down the new posts page the second and third page of the AH forum pages and everyting else I can think of to try to find the consistant place that the start new thread link should be to click my enter on. At the moment I'm looking for Black tulip's "Newbe's "forum" or is it " thread" to answer a few of these questions. Also? Someone? I think Ziplock? Said that there's ggraphiics of an envelope that are coloured? JAWS does NOT! know the differences in colours. I'm not sure whether it pronounces graphics suchs as those envelope flaps, as if it is calling it something, I has'n't said what it's decided to name these pictures of an envelope flap that is coloured a different colour depending on whether it's been opened, read or closed, or what! Anybody know what terminology JAWS might be using to id. these envelopes??? Thankx: Quesla.

The first few threads in each forum are Sticky threads which stay on top. The threads after the sticky threads are the most recent threads. I'm not sure how your reader works, but there is a button above the title line "Threads in Forum" which says "New Thread" that is used to create new threads. There is a second button all the way at the bottom, below all the threads on the page.

For the Author's hangout this link can be used to create a new thread. It is the same url everytime, so you can bookmark the page. I hope that helps.

The new threads icon is both at the top of the listing of threads and at the bottom of it, on the far left hand side of the screen. On the first page of the Author's Hangout, it is just below the Visual Artist's Corner. The only thing I can think of for the envelopes is that they are .gif images and their information says things like "New posts" "Hot thread with new posts" "No new posts" "Hot thread with no new posts" and "Thread is closed"
Good luck.

I sent a PM on your behave to Manu, one of the owners of the site. He also is the technician in charge. I asked if he knew anything about the JAWS program and or if there might be a better style page for you to use.

He likes a challenge from what I hear. Now I'll wait for a reply.

Tx
