Starfield

Paid the $100 for the digital deluxe edition, so I could get to play it since Saturday, since all of my friends had been seriously hyping this.

After about twelve hours, I was seriously pissed about how much money I threw out the window and played another round of FO4 instead...

It's not bad. But it's seriously not worth the sixty bucks they're asking for it.

I'm going to do my best to wait until there's a solid corpus of mods available; vanilla Bethesda games are often lacking polish.
Yeah, from what I've read I do think this is probably the answer. Alas. I was hoping it would be all it was cracked up to be, but from what I've seen so far... pick it up in the Christmas sales.

It's already on my XBox waiting to be played on GamePass when it opens tomorrow (or maybe Thursday depending on timezones). Will report back...

Okay, I guess I'll find out for myself soon, but what's the issue?

(Also, I'm pretty sure that the maths of game discounts mean you could GamePass it until it hits its first major sale (if you deem it worth it) and then buy it and come out ahead of the game)

It's a great lesson in managing customer expectations. It's like finding a 750-word story in the Novel section. Or... have you ever read the comments under a stepcest story in the I/T category? That's basically what my review for this game would sound like.

It's just... underwhelming in EVERY aspect.

*raises hand*

After skipping Fallout 76, I'm happy that Starfield is basically Fallout 4 or Skyrim in space.

Best moment so far? Realizing Walter Stroud is being voiced by Armin Shimerman.
