Standup Comedy

Carlin is the god of stand up. Nobody better.

Eddie Izzard always gets me rolling.

Lewis Black. Particularly live. Something about his comedy just speaks to me. And he has a bit on candy corn that explains so much.

Great live comic, though it's in no way traditional stand up: Bo Burnham. Part musical, part performance, part existential crisis. But this man makes me laugh. Started as a youtube star, but his live show is top notch. Super smart with his wordplay and his humor, insightful, and utterly daring. Definitely not for everyone, but I wish he had a bigger footprint.
 
Russell Brand surprised me. He's of a certain style, but can be very very on point.

I've seen him live 4 times, met him once, read the books & own a t shirt.

That being said, George Carlin is still number 1. I got to see him live just before he died. I feel super lucky.
Then.... chris rock, Dave Chappelle, eddie izzard, lewis black, Ron white, Martin short, Seinfeld, robin Williams, Richard lewis. Richard Pryor, in no particular order
