Stages of Bimbofication?

Wow, someone knocked it to the moon before I even got here. Good job mate, good job.

Um, and respectfully, you've got it exactly, perfectly backwards.

Here's how.

The bimbo is an archetype viewed through the filtered worldview of a male, not a female. It's an objectification of sexuality of the woman and the denigration or ignoring of other attributes. Thus (remember the argument?) that porn is degrading to women. That's the argument. You can't have it both ways. So when you get a cock, come back and start talking about bimbos. (Lol...)

Meanwhile, take a minute and reflect on what's really obviously an objection to the stereotyping of women and the meaning of that. A story about bimbos can go any of a number of ways. The oppressors/stereotypers can turn out to learn from their mistakes, etc, etc etc. The characters can be deeply flawed.

Basically, you've got imho an argument for/of political correctness.

We'll have to agree to disagree. What I don't get is if female "bimbo" stories are not sexist, then what is the problem with there being male "bimbo" stories? Anyway, this is Lit so stories are written from zero sexism to high as well.as different shades of bimboism.. I don't care who writes or reads what. The point I was making is that I don't like the word "bimbo" because in my experience it's more sexist than anything else. The op wrote a good idea in his first comment and I told him it was good story but the idea of a male story is more interesting to me. And no, although you would like to make my comments about political correctness, it's not. It's about the irony that it's ok for a female to be portrayed as a bimbo but a male can't be.

Ahem I don't see where exactly this fits into posting here. Bimbo's are not inherently sluts or anything.

I though your comment was good. I've always understood a bimbo is a female moron and a slut is a slut, usually female.

I'm still not sure as to the specific motivation of turning a girl with an Einstein IQ into a bimbo. Someone intimidated by her IQ needing to dumb her down because he doesn't like smart women? Someone who's a fan of Einstein and can't stand the thought of anyone being smarter than him? Or some other motivation.

Sorry I'm late to the party

To suggest something for the original question, I think an easy reasoning is that the pursuit of her iq and ambition has led to a lack of fulfillment. She's been rather chaste and begins to explore the fun of being sexually objectified vicariously through other characters. Perhaps she's getting advice from a mimbo in the office who seems really bubbly and fun, always dresses sexily and discusses how great his sex life is. She slowly starts losing interest in her ambition as each paycheck goes to new clothes, perfumes, shoes, salon apps, gym memberships, and on and on until she's reached some threshold of bimbo and no longer cares about her work or what her iq is supposed to be used for. She likes who she's become and whoever ends up with her will be happy too. The Bimbo, Mimbo and their Sugar Daddies/Mamas.

I agree with a previous replier that a bimbo isn't a moron, per se. The bimbos interests are simply all about being the most sexually alluring object s/he can be. Its about being bubbly and eager to please. That being said, a lot of bimbo stories simply deflate the girls brainpower, which is an aspect I don't really like.

* first post ever

I thought Bimbo was a Mexican bakery...wouldn't that make the idea racist and yeasty?

Could the increasing bimbo qualities be an act on her part, while she's feigning a loss of each battle, she is plotting to win in the big picture? At each turn it can be shown how she secretly sidelines a rival, while appearing to play the part that they want of her.

Wow, this thread was resurrected?

I like that spin. She's playing them.
