This is to share a few photos from various occasions over this past year. I'll try and be as brief as possible. But at least this way, I can provide an idea of who I am and what is happening around me.
042918 - March of last year. My son, Thomas, was getting bullied by some boys in his History class. When he brought home a field trip permission slip, I decided to a field trip chaperone. Thomas was mortified at the idea Someone from the school paper took the photo of me standing with Thomas's History teacher, Mr. Belchat. It turns out three boys who were bullying my son weren't attending and were spending the school day in detention. I saw no reason to go on the trip and told Mr. Belchat so and the groaning sigh of relief my son gave was just embarrassing.
051018 - In May of the year previous, I learned the community next to ours had established a talent show competition and one of the three judges was retiring. So I decided to drive over and introduce myself as their new judge. Naturally I was hired. Photo is from the enrollment day and the announcement that I was a new judge. O, older but wore his n either side of me are the other two judges - David on my right, very tall, quiet and friendly. In my left is Grayson. He's younger, but lead judge.
2223 - The Opening Night of the Talent Competition. I realized when arriving that I was dressed a bit more fancy than they're used to. David is married and said little. The few times meeting with them both to discuss and organize, I thought Grayson was gay. While we posed for the pic, Grayson kept his hand on my lower back and looked at me in that Dolce Gabbana dress and said, "Now that's the class this competition has been lacking." By the end of the competition's run that year, we were hardly on speaking terms.
061018 - My first event as an Event Planner. And it went very well. Except for the mopey Thomas kept on his face the all day because since he was on summer break I had him do most od the setup and then had him work as the second server. Because he had to wear a white waiter jacket, he didn't like it.
