More than welcome. Being a back-sliding Southern Baptist, I just Googled "patron saint of police."

As for old Chris, this is what the Catholic Forum http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintc05.htm listed:

against lightning; against pestilence; archers; automobile drivers; automobilists; bachelors; Baden, Germany; boatmen; bookbinders; Brunswick, Germany; bus drivers; cab drivers; epilepsy; epileptics; floods; fruit dealers; fullers; gardeners; hailstorms; holy death; lightning; lorry drivers; mariners; market carriers; Mecklenburg, Germany; motorists; pestilence; porters; Rab Croatia; sailors; Saint Christopher's Island; Saint Kitts; storms; sudden death; taxi drivers; toothache; Toses, Girona, Catalonia, Spain; transportation; transportation workers; travellers; truck drivers; truckers; watermen

Rumple "the researcher" Foreskin :cool:

I like patron saints. St. Jude is my personal favorite - I'm often in need of a patron of impossible things and lost causes!

Actually, I think St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes, isn't he?

See, I thought that was St. Jude. Damn, those Catholics are so confusing.
It is Saint Jude- and, according to Dysphemist's link;

* Gregory Thaumaturgus
* Philomena
* Rita of Cascia

There are so many lost causes, there needs to be many saints on that beat...

Another is Saint Anthony- there are two, one of Padua, and one I forget. One finds lost things, and one takes care of runt piglets...

No piglets, just gay cops. kthnx.

This one made me laugh.

St. Barbara is the patron saint of artillery, artillerists and gunners.

Why is a woman supporting such a business?

wadday wanna know? I lived there for twelve years...
It's a beautiful city.
They got good snow managment.
They got some really good restaurants.
They got more Mexicans than Los Angeles does, and certainly more Puerto Ricans.
There aren't any stockyards, anymore.
The gay bars are excellent
They got four seasons- sometimes all in one day.

On an annual basis, though, they have two seasons: winter and construction.
