Sriracha sauce

I'm putting Sriracha on my udon soup right now. Funny enough, I used to put it on my tacos then I discovered Cholula. Love it! It's less vinegary than most hot sauces and great flavor. I like the garlic Cholula too.

Fried things:

Soy-based textured imitation chicken product
Soy sauce
Water
Rice flour (or possibly Wondra)
Sesame oil (or a mild flavor oil if sesame is not available)

Soak the imitation chicken pieces in soy sauce and water overnight. Coat them in rice flour and fry them in the sesame oil until crispy. I dipped them in sriracha sauce.

It sounds bad, but it's pretty fucking good.

Why would you use imitation chicken?

I had a tofu burger about hmmm 26 years ago, it was not up to par to the regular juicy, greasy real stuff. The memories came flooding back just now. He was this very very flamboyant gay friend that invited me over for dinner. And he was Filipino. So me, friend, and gramps who spoke no English ate tofu burgers. I saw friend years later, he had married a woman, was all gruff, macho, serious and he wasn't very fun anymore.
And that soy chunks in miso soup? They don't really taste but they are like gelatin sponges. I think I'm a texture eater.

The fake meat is better now than it used to be, but it's important to impart flavor. I don't really like the burgers. I prefer either imitation chicken or plain tofu, because they really soak up the flavors you want them to.

Now I've had veggie burgers that were great! I think they must've been held together by some sort of bean base. I don't know, I didn't cook it I just ate it. That tofu burger probably needed Sriracha.

Sriracha absolves all sin.

My first experience with it was when a chef friend put out a dipping sauce for veggies tempura. It was mayo and sriracha, and it was amazing! Cholula is another great hot sauce.

Word to both. My two favorite sauces besides ferret.
