Spy balloon sent by China to US skies,

The balloon was shot down. If pieces of it are retrieved it will be possible to determine if it was a spy balloon or not.
 
Repeating, Donald Trump (and his campaign manager and his national security adviser) were intelligence assets of Russia. The intel and defense communities didn't need any sort of DOJ investigation to verify this. It was well known and sitting right out there in the open. If they were doing the job they needed to do to preserve the union, they had to limit what these intelligence assets of Russia knew about the defenses of the United States. They did it. They did what needed to be done.

Now, I'm seeing on the news stories about how past Chinese balloon incursions went undetected. If that is the case how do they know? Some are now saying earlier Chinese balloons were reported to the American public as UFOs.
