Upstate New York pelted with 3 feet of snow

It was a lovely week temperature wise.....I HATE when it's hot. I'm north of your photo but we didn't get any snow at all- amazing what a little elevation does.

I graduated from a college up here back in the eighties and in mid May on my way back from the downtown bars I got snowed on; when I awoke in the morning it was already all melted.

That's the North Country for ya!

We did have to use our pellet stove again this week, not that I'm complaining at all.

My snow blower is tucked away for the season, glad that storm just dumped rain on us.

I'm guessing this put a damper on the Memorial Day bar-b-que?

Damn, you got three feet of snow and it's 90 here. Glad I didn't move north! :D

ninety degrees there is exactly why I'm up here amidst the snow!

I got tired of snow. Humidity sucks, but I still prefer sweating to shivering, and it's easier for me to cool off than to warm up. But if you have snowmobiles it looks like you could have a killer time.

I'm the opposite. I can warm up easily but take forever to cool off and I'm miserable when hot. Both Lake Placid and Jay Peak, nearby across the Lake in Vermont, were offering free skiing during the weekend as a last surprise hurrah.

As much as I love the cold and winter, I prefer to be inside looking at it whilst reading a good book with a mug of tea or hot chocolate. That's the life for me.

Look at it this way: a few extra days of cold will put off that wonderful East River stench that always heralds the onset of summer . . . :p

I can't complain too much, we had a cold front move through and it got into the 40's at night but the days have been 78-88 mostly.

We could have used some rain.

:)

Come and have some of ours.
Cold, wet, and breezy.
The fishing was interrupted by hoards of [speeding] boats and my ink-jet Printer has broken.
