I have been looking into buying some bars to use with my submissive and was shocked at the price. So i started looking at making some myself. This is the question I pose have any Doms out there made their own bars and if so what was the best materials you found to use

Adjustable curtain rods work well. Any kind of extendable metal bar works. Mostly you should be able to find them at home depot type places.

Even the leg of a camera tripod could work quite well, provided it was relatively sturdy. Adjustable curtain rails are a good one - I'd not thought of those before.

Amazon can be a good place to find relatively innocous items that can be used for creative play.

Can be made out of wood and cloth ties, or even PVC pipe with drilled holes and cloth ties.

A length of dowel, or a sawn-off broom handle, and strong eyehooks to act as connection points for the rope or cuffs.

easiest thing ive used was a simple piece of 1/2 inch PVC pipe with a rope stuck through it--loops at both ends for hands/feet.

no wait, i got even cheaper/easier.

once just had an extra broomhandle around, and he put the broomhandle in my hands, i.e. like, i was gripping it, with my arms out as far as possible. Then just wrapped duct tape around my closed hands. easy, effective. doesn't work quite as well for ankles (can be done however), but can provide unobstructed access to tits and face.

My Dom made his own but you would have to PM him to ask how and with what lol. I was a little occupied and not taking notes lol.
I'm sure he would tell you what he did.

i made one out of wood with two holes drilled in. feed a looped rope through each hole and tie them on the other end
