This works great and is in fact seen when you're in a gay environment, like Pride or a bar or a very gay neighborhood.

At Home Depot it would just look odd. Or sus. Even to people who don't have any idea about the code, a multicolored sheaf of different bandanas sticking out of a back pocket would look kinda gay
