Well Steve, let me tell you.... I dont want to speak for everyone, but I would bet that I can speak for most of the people in this situation, and I will just tell you that things have changed over time.

An incredibly satisfying sexual relationship that I once had with my wife has turned into her doing her duty. And not to belabor the point, as it has been said on this post before, I realize that factors take place in peoples lives that make them change, i.e. kids, work, physical, whatever, but thats the whole point. Even though things change, I believe that if a partner really wants to keep a relationship gratifying for both participants, concessions can and should be made. Even if that person does really want to do what the other person wants them to do. They will do it out of love for their partner. Now this has to go both ways of course. So to answer your question "YES" that could be a big problem in the begining of a relationship. But when the relationship has changed over time, its a bit of a different problem, and you just cant over simplify the situation, like you did in the comment you made.
