Spirit song: the elven wanderer finally has a home.

indeed *he smiles and he reclines back in his chair, his eyes gazing out over the slowly darkening sky, a gentle breeze rustling the tops of the trees*

“How’s your writing?” He asks curiously glancing over before also looking out over the water.

he gives Glad a faint smile "my writing?" he shakes his head and sighs, scrubbing a hand down his face "Stalled, the only thread i had was with DW, but we've had some personal disagreements and it just seemed to kill the voices in my head as far as character development went" he runs a hand over his beard in a gesture of habit

“Not too many people here anymore, though see some old faces cycle in and out over time.”

he shakes his head sadly

"yea, there is decent talent yet, but a lot of stories within the first few posts jump right into sex, not much for backstory, character building, world building"

You’re not wrong and sometimes that has its place but some of my favorite stories didn’t get to sex til like page 3 or so and a couple never got there before they died off.

he looks to Glad with a chuckle

"currently? Group called Audiofinity, and a tech/industrial group called Aim to Head. been on a really heavy techno kick lately, usually its classic country, classic rock, 80's 90's"

Nice, three days grace reunited with their original singer and put out a new album, that was really good, hit all the right feels from 15 years ago. I discovered that some f the ai generated music lately has sounded better than some of themusic humans are making. I don’t really do techno, though starset a band I like does mix electronic and edm themes into their rock.

That’s cool. I really liked the devil inside at first some of their newest stuff hasn’t grabbed me the same way.
How was your weekend?

my weekend was great, i took last week off work, put 700 miles on my motorcycle, relaxed. My sunday through today? Tell me again why murder is illegal?

*a bottle of Jim Beam appears in his hand and he hammers half the bottle before offering glad a drink*

the last 3 days have been a shit show, im already looking forward to friday, im so over this week lol

how about you?

Weekend was good but yes, the last couple days are for the birds,” he takes the bottle and takes a swig before plucking a sad chord on his guitar. “I just hate arguing. And murder is illegal because paperwork… and you know, laws and morality and whatnot.”

He chuckles. “All hail dark humor,” he salutes the wolf with the bottle before handing it back to him after draining most of what’s left.

The elf hummed to himself as he flipped the meat on the grill he had set up on one corner of his deck. As the steak sizzled he gazed out over the water. Things were ever changing, and boy he hated it sometimes. He wanted the best for everyone, but why did it feel like things kept slipping away from him. He sighed. He would endure, he always did, he just didn’t like change, especially like this. He didn’t have all the answers, but as of now it looked like he had lost the coauthor of his novel, and the thought of forging ahead on his own was more than a little intimidating.

He sat on the rock with his feet in the water. He sighed as he contemplated the falls not too far from him. Like it pounded into the pool, so life seemed to pound on you when you were least expecting it. Sometimes the real world crap interfered with what he wanted to do, things that brought him joy like writing.
