Spells Oasis

[Henry]

Poppy looks up at the man on the deck again then looks around at the beach. There is a family of 5 lumbering down onto the sand, laden with beach accessories, and a young man with a beautiful golden retriever has just arrived and is tossing a frisbee not too far off with his canine companion. She decides it will be safe enough to say: "Okay!" and join the man on his deck. It will give her the opportunity to ask about local inns and such where she might stay for a few days.

"Sure! Okay!" she calls back as she approaches the cabin. "I was hoping to find out some information about local accomodations so I thank you for the invitation!"

She notes the mans smile seems warm and but there is a look of weariness in his eyes as well.

*he smiles and watches the young lady as he takes a few sips of his drink..his eyes look past her down the beach then back towards the palm trees hiding the more private sauna area..

greeting her face with a warmer one he stands up slowly extends his hand and speaks*

"hi there and nice to meet you..my name is Henry and there are several small cabins to use here on the beach...no charge either.."

"Well...," Poppy sputters. "Thanks! No charge? How is it that I got so lucky on that one?" She shakes his hand with gusto.

She grins up at Henry flabbergasted. "Perhaps after I get my drink, you could show me around some. It's very serene and beautiful here."

The look of weariness she noticed initially seems more like loneliness now...one Poppy easily recognizes these days. As she moves up the few stairs to the deck on the beach, she squeezes Henry's hand a bit in a gesture of familiarity and understanding. He squeezes her hand back and nods. So many little things said without words.

 

[Henry]

He smiles back at her and shakes her hand warmly, lifting it slowly to kiss the back of it...picks up his drink and moves forward a little more.. Looking just past her towards the beach and the beautiful water being danced upon by the sun he grins as he turns slowly

"There is no charge as the cabins are so close and payment is to brighten each other's day..Follow me inside pls and we can organise a drink for you.."

He smiles back at her and shakes her hand warmly, lifting it slowly to kiss the back of it...picks up his drink and moves forward a little more.. Looking just past her towards the beach and the beautiful water being danced upon by the sun he grins as he turns slowly

The sun sparkles off the water and the waves are crashing on the surf. The family of 5 and the man with his dog are utterly unaware of anything but their own activities.

Smiling i walk across to the bar and pour myself another whiskey straight and turning back towards the door look deep into the young lady's eyes ..

"What shall be your drink of choice.."

"I will have whatever you are having..." I say kind of dazedly. "Thank you..."

*Smiling i pour a straight up whiskey and walking back across to the young lady place it in her hands and tentatively kiss her cheek.."

"Anytime at all and whilst here if you need anything at all just ask away.."

I take a sip of the drink and walk slowly out onto the deck behind Henry. I join him on the lounger making myself comfortable. I am strangely calmed by this man. I look at him softly in the eyes as I sip my drink...I just want to smile at him, too. He seems very gentle and kind.

He smiles back and kisses me softly on my mouth. This feels "right" and I return his kiss tasting his lips with my tongue as I sit back and look at his smiling face again.

"Henry...have we met before?" I ask sincerely. "Do we know each other?"

 

[Henry]

I take a sip of the drink and walk slowly out onto the deck behind Henry. I join him on the lounger making myself comfortable. I am strangely calmed by this man. I look at him softly in the eyes as I sip my drink...I just want to smile at him, too. He seems very gentle and kind.

He smiles back and kisses me softly on my mouth. This feels "right" and I return his kiss tasting his lips with my tongue as I sit back and look at his smiling face again.

*smiling back our lips touched briefly as i traced fingertips softly up towards on of her shoulders. looking back deeply into her eyes my hand softly massaged her shoulder as i spoke..*

"Poppy i do not believe we have met before ..do hope i'm not moving too fast for you or out of line with actions.."

Smiling i watch you take my hand and kiss the palm and fingertips...Taking a few mouthfuls of my drink i place it back down on the small table near the lounger and move both hands to your shoulders as i sit behind you..

"pleasure anytime.."

 

[Henry]

Having had my company not wanted i retreated across to the well hidden oasis, stripped down and sunk lower into the waters. Closing my eyes i drift oblivious to all around me.

Poppy stands up and wanders out of the cabin after Henry but he is moving too fast for her.

Eventually I just give up and plop down own the sand...still somewhat disoriented. As my head clears I look around me and wonder: "Was that all a strange dream?"

I know there was more here than in the telling now...and it seemed so enjoyable for a while then got too confused or something. Phantasms have a way of going in that direction sometimes.

My head clearer, I decide to make my way back to the car and continue on my journey.

 

[Henry]

*sinks lower into the waters of the hot springs, eyes still closed totally oblivious to all around me. feeling the water hit my face i sink even lower and just sit in the water totally submerged*

 

[Henry]

*emerging to the surface i open my eyes, sigh and wearily walk back towards my cabin...entering it i put on a pair of trousers and shirt before grabbing my knapsack and walking back out onto the deck. Walking down the sand i reach the small gate and open it, step through leaving it partly ajar ..sigh once more turn around and just walk off closing possibly yet another chapter*

 

[Henry]

* a loud sigh is heard as i walk the last few steps towards the gate, opening them fully up i casually walk up the path, enter my cabin and almost fall down onto my bed. Head hits the pillow, eyes gradually closing...*

 

[Henry]

*Eyes open again and standing up i strip off my shirt and shorts, head towards the shower. Turning on the cold water i step under feeling the water cascading down my body. Time seems to stand still as the water hits my body before i step out, turn the shower off and head back to bed not bothering to dry self. On the way i open the window further allowing the cool sea breeze to flow in*

 

[Henry]

*Walking across the sand i am soon sinking down deep into the relaxing hot water of the springs. Eyes close as head rests against one of the rocks.*

 

[Henry]

*leaving the water i walk back across the sand, take a quick shower and head back to lay down on my bed naked.*

*standing up and stretching i put on a pair of shorts and walk through to the kitchen grab myself a drink and head out to sit on the deck, looking out across the ocean.*
