spelling hard words

"hey Bud, what's this word? i just don't know what it is."

'A?'

"ohhhhhhh! like the letter!"

'yeah, kelly. just like the letter.'

This isn't a racial comment, not intended as one okay folks?

But how much do you want to bet the dude is Mexican, and can't speak a word of English. Welcome to Charlotte. If it requires hard work and sweat, it is a Mexican.

OR

Just one of the countless people educated in America in the past decade or so...hehe...no offence to teachers that is....

No seriously. This is probably a mistake, and a funny one at that, but it is really sad that people don't take enough pride in their job to either do it right or not do it at all.

Ok there's my 6am rant....have a great Tuesday everyone!!!

Any time a comment is preceeded by the phrase "this isn't meant to be racial or anything . . ." it invariably is.

As an old-timey, hand draughter, lettering is one of the most difficult things to do, especially with big letters (like titles), because you're not writing words, but rather one letter at a time. There's a major difference. If the keyboard in front of you were suddenly not the traditional "qwerty" but put into alphabetic order, where you had to find each letter individually (even though most of you know the alphabet), there'd be even more typos here than usual.

Hi Kotori, good to pick up on the big letter thing. There's a plumber round here who's sign says CUNST and I'm sure he's made a mistake because he's a really bad plumber.

Maybe the guy was fed up with his job. Could be anywhere in the world. Even in France they say stop. many a time I've had it wispered to me.
