Toni..... this is a bad day for everyone and I pray for all who are involved. I just saw this thread....I posted to the one windycityman started... I have been sick and it seems my throat is giving me a rebound... Wishing you and yours the best always...

Thanks sexylady! I felt I had to. I was not sure what happened at the time, but thought that everyone should know and to give the information we were getting. The local stations had better coverage due to being able to get to the locations and talking to eyewitnesses.

Thanks sexylady! I had just got home and there was a loud boom, kind like 3 actually and it felt like someone had run into my house. I don't think it really shook, but it kind of seemed like it. And I was so tired I did not go outside to see what it was. But my aunt called and told me and told me to turn on the tv. I immediately thought to make the thread to let everyone know and to give what details we were getting. I think the local stations actually had better coverage at first because of it happening here and being able to send reporters to all the places where debris had been spotted. And getting eyewitness reports. The air smells here from the fuel. I had not really realized that was what it was until someone pointed it out to me. As always I wish you and your family the very best.

Well it was like when 911 happened... I was talking to my mom and she said to put the tv on...when I did I saw the other plane go into the tower. I was shocked and all I wanted was my family with me because I didn't know what was going on.... My son couldn't go out to play at school because the wind shifted. Be careful Toni...please...

Thanks I will be careful. I would like to thank everyone who posted here and especially Soron for all the beautiful pics. I know that everyone is hurting some after this event. I wish that we could just have world peace and everyone get alone. I know that that will probably never happen, but one can only wish. And hopefully if they continue the Shuttle research that they will find out what happened and cause it and maybe they can come up with some new way to protect the astronauts from such a tragic event. Hugs and Kisses to everyone who needs one.

Standing around my shop this morning, as we usually do, first thing. We all of course talked of the weekend's happenings.

Last Monday, everybody was on cloud nine because the Bucs had won the Super Bowl the day before. Today, of course it was the tragedy of the Columbia going down Saturday morning.

My head builder proceeded to go on a rampage about how these people didn't deserve the flag flown at half staff for them. 'They weren't fucking heroes at all', he said. Heroes to him were friends of his who had died in Vietnam or the man who raises his children on a 20,000 dollar a year salary and still manages to raise them learning right from wrong. I didn't disagree that either weren't heroes. I did say though, 'What if that had been your son up there. And, you had to be the one to tell his children that their father wasn't coming home. What the fuck would you call them, then?'
He simply looked at me, turned very white and walked away. He didn't speak to me the rest of the day.
