Origianlly Arkansas but b/c of spouse's job have lived in Colorado(no offense to any one, but i hated the place and living that far north). Now I am curnetlly living in Louisana b/c of the military. It is good to be back in the south once again.

And now that I've jumped in, I'm curious about the grit count.... were you counting on who ate them with sugar and cinnamon and who ate them with salt and pepper, (I'm a salt and pepper person myself) both choices of course would include a liberal amount of butter.

Also a bit curious about what limits southern women impose (reckon there's something I'm supposed to be imposing that I'm not)?

Why would the limits we impose be different from any other woman's limits? Just curious. Welcome to the board!

and about the limits for southern women... I don't know why they would be different... Although I admit being exposed to 20 degree weather for any amount of time would bed VERY much a hard limit for me.

I originally was referring to something in niteshade's original post where she mentioned Writerdom's thread about limits southern women impose. I went trying to find s thread by Writerdom that referred to that but couldn't. Must be buried in something else.

Bacon eh? hmmmm I wonder if I adding bacon to those carbs would make it acceptable for an Atkins Diet. Gonna have to check on that....

I once was some place (can't remember where now) and was so excited to see grits on the menu... I of course ordered them and they came with sugar and cinnamon and they even brought some syrup. Ack!!!
