Everybody who loves the way this site is open to us writers should read the post below this about underage sex in stories.

I think that you should know that your stories are never approved merely allowed to post until you say something that they don't like on this "authors only" forum. I would have thought that we could offer one another the lessons that we have learned.

I know that this letter will most likely be the end of my time here since it seems that I have stepped on some big toes with my advice to another author.

Maybe the first thing you need to learn about writing is to write the truth. In a study quoted on this very forem yesterday it was revealed that most people have their first sexual adventure at the age of fourteen and some few months. Yet we are not allowed to have any, repeat, ANY people in our stories who know about, witness, or hear about sex happening.

You should all take the time to read the thread, it is eye opening.

My last post on this issue, because I'm really getting tired of explaining it over and over again:

About the snippet you posted, you stated that you had "squeezed some underage sex into" your story.

Anyone can read that particular post, since membership on the forums isn't restricted in anyway, and even someone not registered can browse the forums. Laurel or Manu may even have seen it, as Gauche said. They don't post much, but I know for a fact that they read posts from time to time.

Apparently, your story is "pending review" so that one of the story reviewers can match what you said in your post to what the story actually contains (I'm just guessing here).

As to why she's "taking on an attitude," well, you childishly insulted her when she was trying to help you. She has shown marvelous restraint. My "attitude" would be much worse, but frankly, I'm getting tired of this whole issue, and it lacks the importance, to me, for me to get bothered about.

Mikey, why dont you grow the fuck up and realize rules arent there to be broken, or snuck around. The owners of the site made a rule. Quite frankly if it was me you would have already been banned for trying to help him...or even suggest ways to get underage stuff in by the editors. Your story was pulled...my heart breaks for you. Next time keep the ages at 18 or over...dont try to 'sneak it in' just to see if you can. No story NEEDS underage characters...they can all be made to be at lest 18. So get a clue or get the fuck out.

However it seems to be beside the point. I used some bad wording in a bit of advice that I offered another author who was asking for help. In the furure I will kep my mouth under closer control, since anything I say might be used against me.

I am being very honest when I tell you that I feel bad for the way that I talked to you. I am posting this on the thread instead of a PM because I want you to know that I admit when I am wrong. I was wrong in my actions toward you, and I am sorry for them. Nobody should have to stand accused of being a stinking republican. It was way overboard.

I will tell you the same as I have told everybody else. It was not my problem.
My story had passed and been approved. I told the guy to pretty much fade to black when it came to underage sex. There is no underage sex in any of my stories. When I have been rejected for it I have always rewritten the offending parts before submitting again.

If you never read my story I don't see how you have a point of view to offer in this matter.

Some stories do need youthful characters. You just have to post them somewhere else, which is not difficult if you can write.

1) The first thing you have to realize is that we *ALL* understand your larger fears. Even those on this forum who *ARE* conservatives and/or devoutly religious are in favor of free speech in regards to erotica. This is an *EROTIC* site. That means everyone here reads and writes erotica.

Are we clear? We are all on your side against those who want to censor "the truth" about sex. So you must stop treating folk who disagree with you as if they are puritanical enemies. Calling them names, etc. does not make you look good. It makes you look stupid. I don't think you want to come across that way. So before you post anything, count to ten and re-read what you've written several times. Make sure it sound intelligent and reasonable.

2) The owners of this site are well aware that people have sex under the age of 18. And, as mentioned in the other thread, you *ARE* allowed to mention that a person is not a virgin when, at age 18, they have sex in the story. There are stories where characters mention that they were sexually abused as kids, or experimented with sex in high school, etc.

SO, it is NOT true that this site forces writers to hide the truth. What this site does do, however, is require that you not list any details or show that childhood, sexual experience. So, no scenes where the childhood sexual abuse happens or the under-eighteen kids experiment.

Now you may not like that. That's your perogative, but, as everyone keeps saying, those are the rules. "No shirt, no shoes, no service" as it were.

Most of us here have been around for at least 6 months. We know the rules, we've posted stories, we even had some reviewed or delayed because of they edged too close to breaking one of the rules.
