Soul Mates, do you believe in them? If so, why? If not, why not? Have you ever met your soul mate and now you're together for the rest of your lives? Tell me, tell Lit! Enquiring minds want to know!

Me personally, I don't believe in a soul mate. I don't want to believe in the notion that there is only "one" person out there for you, because that's how most people idealize what a "soul mate" is. What if you never find that "one" person? Or is there more than "one" soul mate? Help, I'm confused now!

Teddy Pendergrast and Barry White are the only 'Soul Mates' I know...

Is there anyone out there? Hello??? Come on, post your soul mate story!

I have a bet going on and I'm winning!!

yep!

I've met her, married her, lived my dreams with her.

Word to the wise, don't EVER marry your soulmate!

Yup I believe.

Whether or not I have met her yet is a completely different matter.

I believe in soul mates. I also believe that there is more than one soul mate. I married my first soulmate and have not regretted it...ever. Experience has shown me that others can still be 'soulmates' though.

Yes-I believe.

Found mine 17 years ago, can't even think of my life without him. I also have soulmate friends the longest one being of 37 years. Pretty much once I find you you are stuck with me. :D

Can you believe in a 'soul buddy'? There are certain people who you meet who you feel that connection to, but it doesn't always lead to romance. On teh other hand, you can have an incredibly fulfilling friendship with them.

Very wise words on this subject.

Thanks everyone for responding. I really appreciate it. Looks like more people believe in soul mates than I thought...

If there are more out there, I'm still interested in hearing what you have to say about soulmates...yeah or nay?

Yes I believe, but I don't think you can only have one soul mate in your life.

I had one, he had me, and I'll always feel connected even though we are through as a couple.

I do believe, but I do not believe that I have only one 'soulmate'.

I believe I have many or I would feel exclusive and that is SO not me!

I could write a book on this one!

soulmate? Sure in a spiritual sense, but there are three other things you have to cover too, physical, psychological, and intellectual.

You make connections, is there one? You only know when you're almost dead and that person is there still holding your heart.

and in the vortex of afterwards

all is empty

and open...

I'd like to believe in a soulmate. I really would. But I have seen no evidence to support that, so for now, I'll say no.

Bingo.

I guess it's alright if I answer this question once a day.

I believe. I have met her, and love her, and she loves me. We're not together, and may never be, but it doesn't matter. I think we'll always be friends, through thick and thin, up and down. She touches me in a way totally diferent from anyone I've ever known before. She's my good girl.

I believe because I have met my soulmate. He is my husband now. We met online 5 years ago and we knew from the first moment we chatted. I do not fully understand it but i do believe I have found my other half. I am not whole without him.
