Oh .. I have to say that it's sweet to see someone looking for something genuine on the Internet .. but don't let my skepticism stop you ... you just never know what is out there waiting to fulfill whatever destiny we may have. In the meantime, I just have to ask what do you consider "well read"? Or maybe the question is really about the definition of "well read" ..

Pondering that idea reminds me of reading "The Education of Henry Adams", which I found a bit long winded, but at the same time it was interesting to see his perspective as a third (or was it fourth) generation Adams, and how he felt his "classical" education didn't really prepare him for a world where industrialization was reshaping society. My take away was that being well read in the classics and having what we would term a "liberal arts" education wasn't going to help you survive (or thrive) in an industrial society, where mathematics, and engineering were necessary to contribute to the pace of innovation and wealth creation in general.

So -- this begs the question -- are you looking for someone who is well read in terms of a classical education such as western literature and philosophy? Or are you more interested in someone who can talk about science and technology, and is more like an Elon Musk type ???
