Well, I found out where the recent tension in the house is coming from. Or at least part of it.

The Bodyguard went in for a physical to start a certain school and failed. He had blood in his urine. I knew he had to keep going back for tests, but didn't know exactly why... until he let it slip last night.

They think he might have cancer.

It's been a very long, very sleepless night. If you've ever seen anybody die from this disease, you know exactly how long it can take, and what it does to them. It's not pretty.

I'll stand by him as long as he'll let me, and will do my best to support him, but who knows? Yanno? So if anybody has any spare thoughts or prayers, now would be a good time...

Why is that men have to be so closed-mouthed about stuff? *sigh* For what it's worth to you, one of my Mama's sayings comes to mind: If God brings you to it, God'll bring you through it. Don't know that that's always the case, but it brings me a measure of comfort at times.

Hopefuly they caught it in time. My thoughts are with you & yours.

*hugs* My father had bladder cancer several years ago, long time smoker and had started drinking diet soda because of diabetes which is very hard on your bladder. His initial x-rays were put away for a year and never looked at then it got so bad he went back. They realized he'd had the cancer for over a year already. They were still able to treat him and he is with us and well with no cancer.

You throw everything you've got at it; medical, spiritual, healthy diet... everything. My prayers are with you. :rose:

All of my warmest thoughts and prayers for you and yours. Our doctors can do astrounding things; I hope him a swift answer and a good one.

I am so sorry to hear that. My best wishes for you and the bodyguard.

Thank you all.

Sorry I haven't responded, but we've spent the day out, trying not to think too much about things.

Good thoughts on the way. However, only persistant, timely medical treatment and healthy habits will solve the problem.

*huggles Maeve*

My Grandmother was diagnosed with cancer in '89...they gave her 6 months to live...She ended up dying in '96, just about a year after her husband...The cancer wasn't what killed her, that had gone into full remission... :rose:

*squeeze*

Both my Moms are going though it too.

Take care of yourself, too. :rose:
