Someone please explain Women to me

Ok, here is the deal.

I meet this girl. She is very cute, nice. We connect. There is definitely sparkage. I chat her up. We hang a bit. See a movie. Go to dinner. Basically hang out is the thing I am trying to convey.

Ok, so. I go over to her place. We watch movies. Dance a little. Kiss. You know. The next day, and for like three or four days after wards, she is cold to me. So, weekend comes around again. She invites me over, and cooks a meal for me. We chat. We watch TV. She sits on the couch, right next to me. I get all the signals, and... Well.... You know.

Ok, so now she is completely cold for a couple of days. Then she warms up. And I am not playing. But we go over to a friend's house. A drink or two (not drunk because I have to drive) We leave togather. We walk. We chat. We kiss. We find some bushes, and just about the time that her pants come off, she wiggs on me.

Anyone want to take a shot at this?

Many women have an interesting habit of expecting you to read their minds, and then getting upset when you don't. This is impossible because, (A) you're too stupid to read their minds, and (B) even if you could, the readout wouldn't make any logical sense.

A similar situation came about me and my last girlfriend first began dating. Very mixed signals. In desperation, I wrote one of those long, stupid, rambling emails asking her -- yes, sometimes you can just ask -- what the fuck was on her mind. And what I learned was positive. We were together for several months, took a trip to England, etc. But I never did find out why I was getting such mixed signals early on.

The most likely explanation is that she thought she was getting mixed signals from ME. This would have come from trying too hard to read into what I was saying to her. For example (and ladies, pay attention), when a male of the species says, "I'm hungry," he literally means that fact. There is no subtext. Those books written on male psychology? Bullshit. Try a pamphlet on dog psychology -- it'll be closer to the mark (as well as costing less and being a shorter read).

Yes, so my advice: Act like a dull male (because we ARE dull males) and just ask-

LOL. Hey, I am all for the "lets just have fun". And I really liked this girl. I would have been happy to go either way. But every time I asked her, she was either HOT or cold.

BTW, the bushes were her idea. My place was two blocks away, and we could have gone there, but she didn't want to wait. Then she freaks.

Yeah, well. I did talk to her. Told her that I couldn't take the HOT and cold treatment any more. So she said that she wasn't being, but if that was the way I wanted things....

So, I haven't talked to her for about 2 weeks.

Besides, there are way too many interesting women here on Lit to cry about it.

I could use some consoling though.. Anyone want to help?
