Some of you here have questioned the gift giving and the moneys spent by the staff of the hospital I work in. WEll here you go.
One of our frequent patients is a young lady who is fighting cancer. She has a good chance of beating it too. Unfortunately she also has two kids aged five and six. Unfortunately I say because due to her illness and her treatments she doesn't have a lot of money for gifts. Hell she doesn't have a lot of money for a lot of things including her education. Even so she keeps fighting and she keeps trying.
Six months ago several of us started seeing what we could do to help her out. We started seeing how we could get some oney for her, we raised a bit and talked to some people who raised more. I started with my friends and got the local Fire Department involved as well.
SOme people didn't want to help and I let the full force of my personality free on them. Most of them were convinced to help out.
Yesterday she was visited by Santa and his multiple Elves in her hospital room. Her two kids were greeted by a small mountain of gifts. She received a short note informing her the rent on her place has been payed for the next year. She also received another note, on official stationary informing her that all of her classes for her Crime Scene Investigator Degree have been payed for. (Including books.) Oh and her fridge and freezer have been filled.
Nope we don't help our patients or give to needy causes.
