From a conversation I had today:

"If you can't get along with yourself, don't even bother trying to get along with someone else."

and some days you spout some real crap, too :D

Don't I know it. Finding wisdom in what I say is like rooting through a sewer for a diamond! ;)

I'm doing well...been having a string of pretty good days. I've found that if you decide at some point early in the day that your day is going to be good, no matter what, it usually is. And I was singing at work today, which amused several co-workers I didn't know were there. :)

How about you guys?

You're right about the good day thing. Sometimes you just get up and everything simply feels right and the day flys by in a flash. Other days drag like so much wet toilet paper stuck to your heel, and sy like that all day.

Otherwise I'm good, got turned down by one girl for a date in the afternoon, then had no-strings sex in the evening with a friend.

Swings and Roundabouts :)

That's what I call a good recovery. How sweet it is!

I'm doing well, though I'm not having such rich amorous adventures as Star. I was excited about finishing a book. LOL. I must lead a dull life. It was Micheal Crichton's book Timeline which I really enjoyed.

I"ve been reading a couple good books, and I figure I'll read some more before bed tonight.

Okay, SB trumps my good day entirely! If sex were involved, I"d be posting a gazillion times more than I am now out of sheer exuberance! :D

I have to ask, what were you singing?

There has to be a reason. I don't sing because Jesse laughs at me when I do. Go figure.

Star, it's the middle of the night for you...2am, or 3?

3:17am.... blurgh

But the whole sex thing is weird because she's a housemate... kind of a fucked-up relationship... still she seemed to enjoy it (immensely ;) )

my last post... night to you all. Tomorrow shall be a good day!! :D

Rock on JMJ6K!

Very profound.
I can't be that introspective, it tends to make me cross eyed

"Swinging' on a Star" - the Sinatra version.

I think they were amused not merely by my singing (which was pretty good, if I say so myself!) but because of my improvised choreography, which involved making donkey ears out of my fingers, a pig snout with my nose, and fish-swimming motions with my hands at various points. :)

Yes, I'm a loon.

There is something very odd about you. I guess that is why I like you so much.

I am not familiar with that version, but if it is enough to make you dance as well, then I must hear it for myself.

Too bad it wasn't me.........;)

Yes, I'm a loon.

But a perfect look for a high school choral director.

What are you reading?

Are things looney at work too? Are things returning to normal now?

I need a new book. I keep looking for Diana Gabaldon's new book, but I can't find it anywhere.

Rent "Hudson Hawk" with Bruce Willis and Danny Aiello. The scene involving that song is what made me fall in love with it. Well, it's a great movie, too, but that scene is perfect!

And yes, I"m very odd. ;)

Well, were you there, we'd have danced together! It was at work, after all! :D

Hmmm, now there is an offer I ccan't refuse! Maybe later, after all that dancing, you would be singing about me?;)

True enough. But I"m not one of those quite yet. ;)

At least I have a good start on the type of lunacy a choral director needs!

Right now, I'm reading "Monkey" which is a translation of a very old Chinese "Hundred Chapter Book", translated by Arthur Waley. It's a wonderful adventure book loaded with Chinese Mythology.

I'm also reading "Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid" by Douglas Hofstadter. It's a non-fiction book that's incredibly thought-provoking and also entertaining, too!
