Some advice on vibrators/dildos, please

My wife and I have tried a couple of vibrators, nothing real special, just small plastic ones. I'd like to hear from you all about some better ones to get. My big complaints so far have been battery life,(only tried the single AA models), and the on-off switch, sometimes they get turned off right in the middle of things.

So does anyhave some advice or favorites to recomend?

if you live in seattle or nyc, go to Toys in Babeland, an awesome mecca of toys, books, and other fun things. the shop in nyc has demo toys out so that you can turn them on, see how loud they are, check the size and feel, etc.

and, the staff is soooo helpful! they are seriously knowledgeable and will answer any well-meaning question.

or you can just go to toysinbabeland.com and shop online.

there are so many different toys out there today, you really should shop around until you find one you and your partner both love.

Jack Rabbit is Good . . . uses C batteries, so it keeps going & going & going. . . .

Hitachi makes an electric one; no batteries needed. I haven't tried it, though.

My favorite vibrating egg would have to be the Penthouse Cyberflicker, unfortunately, it's too loud to wear in public

I personally prefer vibes that are covered with silicone or something soft. I find that the hard plastic ones are too hard when I'm over-excited. I can't remember what company made the one I love, but it had a generic name like "Waterproof Silicone Vibe" or something like that. I've heard that the "Butterfly" and "Clit-Saucer" are good, but I wouldn't know personally.
