I was editing my english paper in Word and hadn't saved my document when an error message popped up and closed the program down.

I can't seem to pull it back up.

Dammit. *sigh*

I am such a dolt.

i'm no computer genius, but

Do you have Word set to autosave? I remember this happening to me once, and my hubby was able to find it in some kind of temp file somewhere... maybe windows? I don't know. Wish I could be more help.

But at least you're editing :) I'm still in the middle of one myself. It's a week late and I'm such a horrible procrastinator.

I have had that happen. Sometimes, when I close Word and reopen it, it shows up as a recovered document.

Good Luck! So sorry to hear that and certainly can understand the frustration!!!!!

Don't kick the cat
Throw the pc
Pour coffee on the keyboard
Run out of your room screaming and ranting in the nude

Oh Wait! We might like to see that :)

So do you have to re-edit the whole thing again?
Or rewrite the whole thing?

Bad luck....I almost had a coronary the other day when my computer crashed while I was working on some important stuff....thankfully the auto-save had saved my stuff just before the crash and I managed to recover it all.

Close escape!

Oh, and I have to have mine turned in by noon and I'm halfway done.

And what am I doing now? hehehe

something to check

word usually has a temp file with the doc in it....try and seach for the name of the doc with .* after it..
