Gave your story a read...pretty good. It has the potential to be even better *smiles*. My suggestions would be to watch your sentence structure, keep one voice only per paragraph and be clear who is speaking (perhaps even only have one POV).

These are little things that come with learning and writing but you do have good ideas and the desire to get them out. Keep going!
