it's columbus day in the US, thanksgiving in canada...

is anybody here today?

Columbus Day doesn't really apply to me but am here in spirit if not in reality. ;-)

Hubby's out of work, but kid is in school. This should have made things interesting at home...but didn't. oh well *shrugs*

Last year my kids got Columbus Day off, but it was an inservice day for the teachers.

When my husband was working, he always got holiday pay for Columbus Day.

The school people here are at home, making me doubly happy that I have an office away from home. I'm working - or at least trying to. My mind keeps wandering sadly offline.

My office was closed to the public, but we had to report for inservice training all day.

Bear in mind that 1) I've been a public school teacher and 2) I married one

Scream?!

I did have to work today with the darlings ~ they had school today as well. No rest for the wicked, you know.

Hmmmm, next day "off" isn't until November and it seems like such a long ways away...

MWY: that's so cool--you both got to scratch the hot school teacher fantasy off your lists! :>

Well, perhaps she did. I'd taken care of mine long before I met her.

I didn't work today simply because I don't teach on Monday's but classes were in session.

The hubby took a vacation day; the little man had school today.

So, the hubby and I snuck in a mid-afternoon movie. :D

Me... can't ya tell? :D

Fortunately this vixen has willing minions. Why work when one can delegate?
