What detergent do you prefer?

The last time I did the wash I used as product called TAD, it hardly touched the grass stain in my denim jeans.

Anything but a product from that company with the annoying commercials about children's underwear with "skid marks". Get that off the air pronto.

I've made my own soap before but I couldn't get past the idea that although it cleaned, it never made suds. Now I buy whatever is in those one serving square packet things and throw it in.

are you following me?

You have hard water thats why you are sudsless.

Touché

I have well water that I can drink from the tap.

Whatever happens to be on sale. Right now it's lavender scented Up & Up.

I also use Clorox 2 Liquid Free and Clear, and vinegar in the rinse water for fabric softening. For whites. I add non sudsing ammonia.

Sometimes I use Method free and clear instead of Tide Free if I am in a hurry, you don't have to measure it.

Also, if the water is too 'pure' it won't make suds.
I have only rainwater and it's too clean to make any suds with commercial cleaners.

Edited: I also filter my rain tanks through activated charcoal (ever since finding a half-decomposed bird carcass in one!) so maybe that has something to do with not getting suds. I struggle to get suds in my dishwater as well. Also, my shampoo won't fluff either.

How about you just do my laundry and tell me what you prefer? :)

I've always kinda made mine out of Borax, bar soap, oxiclean and baking soda. Sometimes if something is filthy, like clothes I've rolled around in mud in or gotten that nasty orangy-brown shit from cleaning the well on, I'll spray the fuck out of it with oxyclean or baking soda or borax and vinegar and then throw it in the laundry basket with everything else until like a week later when I actually do laundry. We have the shittiest fucking water on the goddamn planet, like the company that ruined it is having to either drill another well or hook us up on city water because it's shitty enough that it can apparently poison you if you drink it and technically we aren't supposed to bathing in it- so they bring us fucking jugs of water to tide us over until they can get the approval for a permanent solution- yeah, big fucking help, I'll just bath in a fucking gallon of water- anyway, my point is that even if I didn't redneck that detergent together and actually got store bought the water would just destroy everything anyway. This way might be overkill and hell on the clothes but at least they aren't filthy.

Shagly, try the Anti Racist Shitstain formula by Tide. Helps all the bigoted losers come clean.
