Not much. Spring has sprung a bit here; it seems to be warming up despite last week's snow and things are blooming. This puts me in a good mood.

Remember when I said I was allergic to dairy products and wanted to try some ice cream alternatives? Yesterday I tried some soy ice cream - "Soy Delicious". I didn't much like the coloring of the chocolate ice cream, but I tried it anyway. It wasn't bad - but it wasn't as good as dairy ice cream and boy was it expensive ($4.59 for a measely quart)! That could be because the only non-dairy ice cream I could find was the "organic" kind, but such alternatives are usually about twice as costly as regular products.

I also tried some soy ice cream sandwidches - you know, the kind that are ice cream wedged between two layers of chocolate wafer stuff (technical food term ;) ). Those are okay, but not great either and also expensive.

Not much else going on - I just kind of lazed about yeasterday after running some errands and doing some laundry. Today I am going to get up off my butt and do some housework - at least I will if it doesn't turn nice outside.

did you ever get a chance to check out that game I sent you?

too difficult, too easy, impossible, back burner, forgotten, deleten?

You had snow?! I am so jealous. Even a little flurry would have been nice.

So how is the new job?

Just a little bit of it on the 7th - remember my post "It's snowing!"?

So how is the new job?
So far so good. I have calmed down a little as I am still vulnerable to downturn or downsizing should things not go as well as planned. My main goal is to pay down a high interest credit card without depleting my savings too badly, and still be able to pay my taxes next month - I am going to have to do a little juggling to accomplish that, but nothing too complex.

Then I can start moving forward financially by building up my savings. Meanwhile I will be working on my web development skills to build up the buzzwords on my resume. This job gives me some breathing room in that regard. There are people I know with a lot more experience and buzzwords than me who are either looking for work still, or who are looking at a future downsizing - so I can't take it easy and just go to work naively thinking my job will always be there tomorrow.

Organic ice cream isn't bad with a bit of soemthing added. Chocolate sauce for chocolate and I had some vanilla once with a bit of Grand Marnie splashed over it.

Be creative if you want taste. :)

No, I didn't see your "It's snowing" thread. I am only logged on now and then and has been more then than now, lately.

I have been Downsized, RIF'ed (Reduction in Force), Laid off. My last day of work was Friday. My plan is to not look until May, but I found myself looking in the paper this morning. :) I thought about it and I have only had one job in my life from the paper. All the others have been word of mouth. I had two offers, but am not ready to go back yet. I have severence through mid summer, so I really want to enjoy some time...will see if I can make it. I have never not worked!
