The other day my son told me what he wanted to be when he grew up. I started remembering what I had wanted.

I imagined myself becoming a beautiful and talented actress like Grace Kelly, a singer with the voice of Roberta Flack, a lawyer with the flair of Perry Mason, an author that had a gift for words like Emily Bronte, or a school teacher like my mother.

How many of us are living that dream now? How many of us are reaching for that goal? What did you want to be when you grew up?

"Grow up" ?

What's this then? I'm not familiar with the concept.

I wanted to be an arenautical engineer. Ended up an electronic engineer, then a computer engineer.

Oh well, I was close.

I'll take your job, Ishmael! lol. my dreams got stolen from me on July 7th, 1998 when I got in a semi-bad car crash so I decided to take up comps since I was getting good w/ them. I had my own computer center for a while but people couldn't grasp the concept of a good quality computer center that 100% guarenteed the work for 30 days or full money back that was open 24/7 including Holidays (only closed for 2 days because of 9/11) that did just about anything.

I wanted to make video games when I grew up, but I ended up setteling for just playing them instead! Sometimes it's better to keep the fantasy alive inside of yourself rather than subject your most precious thoughts and feelings to the scrutinies of reality.

coroner, egyptologist, archeologist, politician

...now i just wanna be taller than i am now :)

Halo :rose:

Growing old is a given, growing up is an option.

I wanted to be a stuntman, still do.

You KNOW what my wish is, Honey! <WEG>

It really is interesting hearing what people wish for in the future in terms of who or what they are...perhaps because so many people spend so much time doing it.

P.S. I always wanted to conduct an orchestra. Haven't done that yet.

:)
