If FatFuck-Il-Un hocks a loogey at Guam, what are our options? Not what OrangeBoy might do or not, but real options.

Do we have missile interceptors in place and capable?

How do we respond? Or do we?

If we start hocking loogies back, does Il-Un have more than one?

What does China do if we irradiate their borders?

Does Pakistan take advantage? 'Hey, the US did it, so ....'

Where does the stock market go? Or will there be any one left that cares?

The USA probably has interception systems on every allied territory, island, floating platform, ship and secret offshore torture site between NK and Guam. I wouldn't say it's even realistic that they could hit it.

If they hypothetically did then, since Trump is president with a republican-majority congress, they'd probably nuke NK right back :L

who is WE?

if you mean REAL AMERICANS....dont say WE.....you are NOT part of WE

you are an alien infesting WE

US missile defense technology is advancing quite rapidly. Look for anti-ICBM laser defense weapons on ships that can handle the power loads in the next 5 years or so, for example.

But it's another question how soon the systems will be sufficiently robust and with what geographical coverage.

The nuclear brinksmanship we see today isn't really an immediate threat. The North Korean's systems are unproven, nascent, and exist in small numbers. USA doesn't have the assets in the region to prosecute a prolonged war.

If Trump sends an aircraft carrier battle group or two to the Sea of Japan, that's the time to start worrying.

I see it two ways.

1. Kim un is really a wack job and, at his first chance, lobs nuclear warheads at U.S territories or mainland, then we all know the outcome.

2. He really isn't a nut job and just enjoys hearing himself sound big, bad and important, then we all know the outcome. He and Donald become Bffs, measuring each other's cocks. Of course.

Although, if they lob nukes, what about SK? We have warheads that could level the entire peninsula (thanks) . Do we risk south Korean casualties? Nuke for nuke may not be an option. So many questions, so many Trump voters advocating for mass genocide. The North Korean people aren't to blame, just their government.

Who knows, let's just get them fucked up on shrooms and call it a happy ending.

If, a big if, the media is reporting what was said by Korea, then he has been careful to say NEAR Guam. That could mean anywhere in the ocean as he has been doing, not necessarily the island itself. But he is a whack job and he does enjoy hearing himself sound big.

why are you just worrying about china? depending on how the wind is blowing if the orange idiot goes nuclear south korea, russia and japan all have a solid chance of getting hit with fallout. hell, so does alaska.

and the entire west coast eventually.

that's kinda why nukes haven't been used since nagasaki.

and if the other idiot goes nuclear, well, same shit. this isn't a fucking game.

I think the US should start evac'ing non-essentials from Guam. It'll get NK's attention. I hate to say this...I'm no Trump supporter.

However, I'm glad to see Trump show his teeth. If anything is launched at Guam, US should take them OUT.

Think about it.

i'm sure all the dead people in south korea will be pleased as punch the next morning.

I think SK will be fine. The threat is against us. Ask our west coast how they feel.

you know we have troops stationed on their border, right now?

and troops stationed in japan?

you really don't think north korea wouldn't consider those valid targets?

also, seoul is within artillery range. in case you weren't aware north korea kinda doesn't get along too well with the south. i'm gonna guess that in a shooting war they might not have too many reservations about killing some of their other enemies as well.

If they launch missiles towards the US...or toward any of our bases nearby...all bets are off.

I know where our troops are stationed. My own SIL and my Daughter were stationed in Seoul for a few years.

I lived in Taiwan with my military Dad for 5 years back when China was shaking their fist at Taiwan. I know about living in potentially dangerous places.

When it's WAR, all bets are off, Pointless. I don't like it any more than you do, but the name of the game is to put the rabid dog DOWN with the least casualties as possible.

I'd rather this showdown unfold on somebody elses soil rather than our own.

Sometimes, it comes down to that.

Another thing....no way in hell NK is that skilled, precise and planned to ever pull off what you describe. C'mon.

They were saber-rattling before they could even launch a missile without it coming down on their own heads only months ago.

cool. got it, chickenhawk. you're not gonna die, so who cares if anyone else does. all the rest is rationalization and appeals to authority.

and i just have to that it's kinda funny that you're claiming on one hand that we need to take out north korea because they're a threat and then on the other that no one need worry because north korea isn't actually a threat. it's cute.

First, why should anyone believe that North Korea can put a nuclear warhead on a missile? Because this administration says so? These are people who are one week removed from telling a ridiculous lie about the Clown-in-Chief having been praised by the leadership of the Boy Scouts. They have literally negative credibility.

Second, the North Koreans want one thing and one thing only — and it's not to militarily conquer the United States, some of the dumber comments I've read on the GB notwithstanding. What they want is the continuation of the status quo — to not wind up like Saddam Hussein. So they're not likely to take an action that would lead to the immediate end of their existence without the belief that they have nothing left to lose.

I never said we had to take out NK because they were a threat? Where did you get that idea?

That'd be an awful event that I'd NEVER stand behind. and what the fuck is a "chickenhawk"?

Also, I'm not afraid of dying. Stop trying to insult me. Also, I have compassion for human life.

You are kinda full of shit. Don't talk to me anymore tonight.

North Korean people have no say. That want what they are told. I'm sure that isn't utter anialition by nuclear winter...
