Hon, that's not the point. The point is that even though his opinion seemed demeaning, it's his opinion to give. It's just as valid as the loving, supportive ones that might have been there, too.

No one needs to be put down. They do have to expect on an open board that it could well happen - here as much as anyplace else. Don't let it bug you.

Sempre, we've spoken here and other places, and we approach things quite differently, you and I. I've seen that when my style fails you can often reach the person in your way, and at times when you aren't resonating with somebody it is my reaching out which snags their attention long enough to provoke thought.

I've seen that you start out guarded and skeptical, essentially demanding that people earn your trust before you offer it. I've seen your emotions run the gamut, I'd say. I've certainly seen you exhibit a dynamic and fluid debating style - but you don't dodge the questions, and at your most provocative you don't rely on unadorned attacks on the individuals even when you clearly disagree with their positions.

I'm not much for beer, but in this case - yes, I'd be delighted to accept your offer.
