So with the talk of fisting and bizzarrely large phallases and dildos, and vaginal streaching...

I began to wonder, what does most of the lifestyle think of training the vaginal to take a fist, or streaching a vagina, is this a better to do kegels and try to tighten, or train it to be wider?

Im just curious...

Any feedback is appreciated? And I know you all aren't doctors... just a personal opinion will do...or any expirience... thanx.

I'm not a doctor, but I've worked in multiple ob/gyn practices as a medical assistant. I've quizzed my docs on things like this over the years. :)

Despite what most men (and women) might think about their cock size, it's rarely anything close to the diameter of a baby's skull during birth. (Sorry, guys!) However, there's a lot of biochemistry going on before and during birth that helps the vagina to be even more stretchy than normal, BUT the anatomy is always there, and the vagina (of most women) is simply engineered to be accommodating.

Another however, from personal experience, is that you're not dealing JUST with the flexibility of the vagina. There's that pesky pubic bone, as well. THAT is where the potential problems for fisting (and birthing) come in. Sadly for me, I have a very narrow dimension. I can't be fisted easily by the average male hand (female is sometimes another story) and had to have two C-sections, as well. My bone structure is just too damn narrow. :(

Kegels are a good thing! They help with recovery after stretching as well as achieving the stretch in the first place, they help with pushing during birth (because the muscles work for in AND out). As an added bonus, using those muscles can give extra pleasure to your partner, too. ;)

I think fisting is a matter of taste. Not everyone (on either side) enjoys it. Like everything else, it's important to find someone whose tastes match yours.

The other great thing about kegals is they reduce your chance of incontinence later on in life. And if you're doing them regularly they'll help when you're hugely preggers. Anyway, my point is that I've never accidentally wet my pants, even when I was 9 months preggers.

They aren't mutually exclusive of one another, believe it or not. I do Kegels all the time, mostly out of boredom. I wear Ben-Wa balls occasionally. I've never had a kid (and don't want to). My muscles down there are very strong.

On the flip side, I've taken some pretty large fists inside me, too. I've always been told that I'm even tighter AFTER I've been fisted than I was before. I think it has something to do with the amount of musculature making the tissue more resilient. It becomes easier to stretch and then easier to shrink back again.

Or something. That's my non-scientific opinion, anyway.
 
I think the misconception people have about fisting is that doing training exercises are going to help you "stretch" or whatnot to take the size. Training, stretching, etc are wonderful techniques to use to prepare for fisting, but what they are training you to do is relax and control, not necessarily do anything to your body.

I stretch once a week with a rather large plug. It's hard to find dildos that are thick enough...we use buttplugs. I spent an hour with the plug inside me, feeling it, relaxing, etc. The process of putting it in and taking it out helps me learn to control my body and not tense up.

I also do Kegals for the same reason. Many that have trouble taking fists have those troubles because they cannot relax enough. I am one of these, so I do as many control exercises as I can to help me through this...both tightening and relaxing.
 
I had to go for pelvic physical therapy after my hysterectomy. It wasn't to strenthen the muscles but to train them how to relax. They had been traumatized by the surgery and from the prolapses themselves. Using both anal and vaginal probes ( one at a time) connected by a cord to a computer I used biofeedback to learn how to control the muscles. Completely relaxing both the anal and vaginal muscles takes much more work than you may think. Or at least for me, but that was part of my porbelem. I needed to learn to relax to increase blood flow and prevent nerve damage, thus inccreasing sensitively and sexual plessure.

Learning to do kegel correctly, both the tightening phase and relaxation phase was an invaluable experience. It also made anal sex less painful.

(I have never tried fisting. My PYL doesn't want to take the chance that it may cause me harm to to my prolapse surgies)
 
My mom told me about the wonders of Kegals when I was 13. I've been doing them regularly ever since.

I try to remember to do my kegels once a day at least but I don't think this has any bearing on whether I can be fisted or not. For the record, I've never tried it, simply because I'm kinda little down there and I have doubts I'd be able to enjoy it.

There's also the matter of a brief time lag between the removal of a stretching object and the muscles returning to their normal 'configuration' again. All you need is a fast camera to 'capture the moment.'

I would say that most of the time they've already been fisted before the camera got turned on. Hence the pre-fisting gape. And as others have said, it takes a little while for things to go back to normal, hence the post-fisting gape.

Fisting does not stretch you permanently, period. :)

Just a note, the above refers primarily to anal fisting which is quite different from the vaginal fisting we've been discussing. Vaginal fisting isn't going to give you anal leakage!
