So it's been out forever and I rented for 50 cents, but damn it's a good movie!

Never saw the Sixth Sense before last night and holy cow it was a good movie, even with the Stud there and in the way as usual. He normally doesn't like that kind of movie because he figures it out. Of course when he doesn't figure it out, it's "this is bullshit, I can't figure out where it's going." So you can't make him happy either way.

But I loved it! :D

If you're like me, the only twit in America who hasn't already seen it, then go watch it! Just don't watch it with the Stud, he doesn't know how to shut up.

I rented it but didn't watch it when I had my wisdom teeth out.

Guess I should rent it again.

I was totally surprised when the ending happened

:p

The ending completely shocked me. I never saw that one coming and I think I spent a little more time in disbelief than his character did.

It was a good movie.... and if your... er.. 'friend' (sorry dont' know exactly what he is) had figured it out...... well I figured out the ending a week before the movie came out (fucking camercials ruin it for me) and I loved the show anyways.

I respectfully disagree

Disregarding the twist....

Nothing happens in this movie. I felt no "bond" with any of the characters, coming closest with the mother. I also thought the acting was rather mediocre, really a one act play to me. This isnt meant as a personal attack and i dont want to start a battle royale here.

A movie that came out around the same time and didnt get much publicity but touches on similar themes is "Stir of Echoes"....a well done suspens-thriller with a nicely woven mystery and characters I cared about.

Haven't seen it. Borrowed it for six months from a friend, but everyone else I know had already seen it, so what was the point? Besides, I read of the ending in a magazine (on accident, it was just suddenly brought up), so no I essentially have no reason?

Other movies on my List:
-Titanic
-Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back / Dogma
-Gone w/the Wind
-Citizen Kane

Actually, I haven't seen a lot of movies. These just seem to be a good representation of my portfolio.

I thought it was a very good movie. If you liked that one you might like Stir of Echos with Kevin Bacon. I thought it was another good movie.

You HAVE to rent "Citizen Kane." It is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen Titanic either. I haven't seen lots of movies. I'm embarrassed to admit, diehard Chow Yun Fat fan that I am, that I have yet to see 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. I have seen both 'Sixth Sense' and 'Stir of Echoes', both on late night cable TV. I also saw the 'Sixth Sense' sequel on a plane - forget the damn name, the one with Samuel Jackson in it. That was disappointing - it sucked. Saw 'Billy Elliot' on a plane, too. I dug it, even with the sappy cornball ending. My doctor didn't like it because of the 'foul language'. lol.

OMG!!!!!!!

the 2 people left in the world that hasn't seen "Titanic." LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes adding more just becomes redundant.:p

I also enjoyed Stir of Echos tho' I did perfer the 6th sense a little more.

But the one scene I always think of in Stir is when Kevin Bacon is out in the backyard digging around ..... shirtless covered in sweat.... damn he looked good !!!!

:)

How did you like the ending?

After watching it to the end I had to watch it all over again immediately to check that the script hadn't cheated.

It hadn't.

Brilliant movie.

I liked that bit when the boy was in the bathroom and somebody moved passed the open door and the music just went "ssstttrrrrmmmm". Made me jump a fucking mile...

:D

Who is in this movie? That would make it easier to track down.

Stir of Echoes

This one was good too. First time in a long time I've been scared (surprised might be more appropriate). The scene where Kevin Bacon is sitting on the couch and all of a sudden the "ghost" is right next to him. Had me pulling myself off the ceiling.

Jeff Goldbloom is in it and i cant remember the other names.
I do recomend it if you like a good drama.
