....yes, I did the unthinkable.....got an actual pad of composition paper and physically (with a mechanical paper, no less) wrote out the outlines of some more erotica. Not that I plan to do this with all of my work, but between that and resuming much of my MS Word composition, I have my writer's block in retreat at last. I'm even working writing the next chapters to several old stories. I should have done this sooner. Sometimes back to the basics does work.

Any thoughts on this?

I have thought about doing that but it so much easier to type, my hand cramps if I write with pen and paper too much.

To get out of a block...I just sit down and start typing the first thing that comes to mind, doesn't matter what it is.

My latest book was created that way, well the basis of the story. In fact the first thing I wrote that started the book binge isn't even in the book as it didn't fit the final cut. It will be in a forth coming collection of short stories. :D

Sorry about the plugs

Hey, don't feel bad about that. At least we're talking about erotica again. LOL I plug my own stuff shamelessly (such as the upcoming new chapter of Selfish Mom, lol). Plugging sounds like fun to me.

Anyway, whatever gets you out of your block, right?

Who said it was erotica? Both I mentioned are mainstream items.

I tried pen and paper last year, so I could write on the patio, I filled three notebooks full of ~ 100K words and it was fairly good. Now the problem is I have to type it to edit it!

I found that paper is good but photons are easier to edit.;)

Good point. My greatest difficulty is when my arthritis acts up. Grrrr...

I always outline with pen and paper. I seem to think better for that aspect of writing with a pen in my hand. I don't think I'd ever write anything of significant length that way, though.

Writers block is an excuse and bullshit. You suffer from one of two conditions: YOU HAVE NUTHIN WORTH WRITING ABOUT or YOUR BRAIN IS PREPARING IT.

I take a notebook and pencils with me anywhere I end up waiting, like appointments. That's where I write out sentences floating in my head to follow up on later. Snippets of ideas and images fill a page in a short time.

I don't believe there is a true writer's block, or a muse. If you're supposed to write something, you will.

Ah! Ha! I knew you were one of my old girl friends in disguise. Time hasnt helped your looks any. May if you'd shaved and used a little girl goo....

dammit, you saw through my disguise. yes, i am one of your former girlfriends. do you still suffer - or make everyone else suffer - with the halitosis? and did you ever get rid of that syphilis?
