Sure, the weather is always a fair starter. Then we can quickly move to politics, religion, sex and kill the thread in no time.

So, still cold in Maine, eh? We're getting low 20s in Chicago still, but the days at least have been bright and cheerful.

Have folks begun to talk about the Red Sox yet? (or did they ever stop except to watch a few Patriots games?)

They are talking about the sox in NY cause the yanks got A Rod and the sox did not. And the weather in Upstate NY is as bad as anywhere -- was 20 below Sunday nights (and I work nights making rounds between 5 buildings at a children's home) and yet this weekend it will get to 47. Hey, by next week it will probably go below 0 again. There--we have done weather and sports -- anyone wanna talk about politics now--we can save sex for last !!!

Hey - you stole the Upstate NY weather saying--heck it never stays the same for long--even in the summer. they say the only place that gets less sun than us is Seattle I am good--tired--just got off work--and ready for bed--alas alone again.......

It's a cool day here if the temperature dips below 30...Centigrade, that is I live in Singapore where the temperature stays in the 25-32 Centigrade range. There is the monsoon season (it's about over, what a relief) and the non-monsoon season when it just gets really annoyingly hot.

I was hired because I am licensed to handle controlled drugs. One day, the day that I registered here as matter of fact, I walked into the office at work, there were about 10 men on their hands and knees because someone had dropped a box that contained vials of a controlled drug on the floor and the vials had popped out and rolled all over the place.

I thought that I had better put the memory into something, because that was not likely to happen to me again. Hence, the Missingmeds.

now there is a picture I can relate too --- our place goes nuts when controlled meds go missing - and I can see everyone within hearing distance running to help find even one !!!
What amazes me is when you give a child their meds - if it is wrong they will tell you--even the worst ones who try and take anything they can get. they can even tell you exactly what each one is for !!!

I would have thought that the talk would be about the fact that despite getting A-Rod, the Yankees are still expected to finish behind the BoSox this year by the folks who count: the Vegas bookmakers.
