What is the ideal number of people for sexual happiness in an orgy?

I've heard four, I've heard that an even number is better than an odd one, and the reverse...

The largest I attended was about maybe two dozen at a spontaneous orgy that broke out at a pot-crop harvest celebration/birthday party for a drrty boy pal of mine in Toronto a few years ago...about 18 or so wound up in a hellacious daisy chain all over the living room to lick birthday cake off each other, including my date for the nite, an ultra hot asian chik from work who'd heard I went to some interesting parties and had asked to tag along. The rest of us watched, gooned up on green and laughing like hyenas at all the interesting combinations and sounds.

It was good sport to watch, though I left after the first hour or so to hit another soiree...the asian grrl went home with a dutch/french couple, she reported back the following Monday, which wound up giving me a lot of street cred with the other babes at the office once it got around.

I haven't done an orgy either. But I think an even number would work better so no one is left out without a partner. Of course there are other possibilities.

To my thinking, the whole point of an orgy would be to not have a 'partner'. My comfort zone lies in the 5-7 range.

I'd say it's getting out of hand at 12 or so. But it's hard to say never having done that.
