The Defeated Democratic Govenor Roy Barnes forced through Education Bill 1187 two years ago. One of the highlights of the bill was that it took away fair dismissal rights for teachers.

Barnes main rallying cry has been that the problems with education in this state were caused by bad teachers and he was going to get rid of them.

He also started a program that allows any college graduate to attend "teacher camp" for six weeks in the summer and then have a job as a classroom teacher.

Barnes lost the election when he screwed over the teachers of this state two years ago. Ask anyone who knows a teacher, you'll find that most relished the opportunity to vote against "King Roy" today.
