My father was cut. I don't know why. He was born in Europe in the 1920s & not Jewish. His father was a dermatologist, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I saw my father naked a few times when I was young and never noticed the difference with myself, even though I have a lot of foreskin. He clearly felt ashamed when she said that. The important thing to me is that he decided that I would not be cut. I assume he had a good personal reason for that.
Whatever his reason was, my point of view is that non-medical male circumcision without consent of the "victim" is just as bad a case of genital mutilation as is the female circumcision that is traditional in many parts of Africa and that "we in the West" find such a horrible practice. Nature/God (pick your choice) has given men foreskins for a reason and that is not to have it cut off at birth. We should not be robbing innocent babies of future sexual pleasure "just because". Esp. because the real biggest (abysmally failing) reason for many needless circumcisions just is an attempt at curbing masturbation under the disguise of it being healthier.
Now, if a consenting adult wants to be cut, I'm all fine with that. Hell, I'm even fine if a submissive adult (slave) wants to let his domme/master take the decision for him. But innocent babies cannot consent.
