Sluts

I've always loved women with a slutty side, though I've never quite been able to connect with them. There's sort of a connotation about hooking up on the basis of a bit too much tequila or a one too many bong hits. In eiter situation, I'm still just too 'decent' a guy to be a slutty hookup. I try to combat this, but my efforts are fruitless. Except once or twice, but those are aberrations, and I wish for the life of me I knew what happened so that it worked.

I'm a good listener. Nice trait in a mate, but it kinda gets in the way of slutty behavior. Now, I'm pretty much intimidated by a good slut, as much as I'd like to take advantage of the experience and imagination.

I don't know that slutty girls are slutty all the time... or that good girls are good all the time...

in fact, I think "good girls" can be encouraged to be slutty with amazing results... and vice versa, actually...

it's usually the very thing we're most against that will hold the most power for us when/if we embody it...

I'm still amazed at the depth and profundity of the people who write here. :D

Now back to the sluts....... :nana:

It's also the very thing that we're most against that will hold power OVER us until we bring it into consciousness. Luckily, we don't have to act it out literally to bring it to consciousness, but we do have to find ways to express it...like writing, or art or ritual. The imagination is a powerful and often underestimated and devalued force in life.

S&D

Now back to our regularly scheduled sluts.

Sluts tend to like dangerous men.

Gotta get in touch with your Inner Killer, there, Huck! : )

Ok, I have read more of this thread and realized I was wrong about my sluttiest character. Keri's the most promiscuous, yes, but is she a true slut since she has trouble dealing with being such? Some might say not. Therefore I think Erika fits the bill (same story). She is a slut, and not only that, she is pretty shameless about it and able to manage it effectively. Just like she does her career. Of course, it's ironic and satirical that I made her this way, considering she's a Scientologist... :D

I agree that sluttiness can be a good thing if used correctly.

I've always been fascinated by women's sexual ambiguity, their desire to be as sexual as a man on the one hand and their desire to be seen as chaste and virtuous on the other. It's a great source of tension and I exploit it in almost all my stories.

That ambiguity is at the heart of a lot of D/s and reluctance stories, where the man forces the woman to reveal her "slutty" side. She gets to experience the depth of her own sexuality but isn't responsible for it, since she's being forced. She has her cake and gets to eat it too.

In my own experience, "slut" as a term of derision is used more often by women talking about other women than it is by men (or at least the men I know), and the men who use it seem to be big advocates of the double standard. Women seem to use it to keep each other in line and men--well, let's face it--men are terrified of blatantly sexual women.

I once had an online quasi-relationship with an Englishwoman who called herself a "slut". The ironic thing for those who consider sluttiness the same thing as promiscuity is that we couldn't become a couple because she wanted monogamy and I didn't. So, you see, I can totally get what Lou is saying.

What slut means depends on the context and tone, plain and simple. I joked earlier that I don't mind a slut who doesn't mind my being one. That doesn't mean that I have anonymous, indiscriminate sex with the whole of womankind. It just means that I am wild, kinky, and a swinger (although really a frustrated polygamist at heart rather than a womanizer). I am also bisexual. That doesn't mean that I fuck every man that I see or who would ask me for sex. I have to want to fuck him and find something attractive.

Promiscuity is about sex with complete strangers on a frequent basis, for no reason other than those strangers asking for it. It may or may not be nymphomania or sexual addiction, but it is not about attraction or actual interest in fucking those people. It's just about fucking anyone, with or without desire. I could never be like that, for the simple reason that my cock wouldn't get up if I didn't want sex with the person seeking it. That's not about being shallow, either. There could be tons of reasons why I don't want a certain person, male or female, and not just because of looks.

I don't get what Scientology has to do with sex, one way or the other.

Well, Sev, you probably didn't know that when you become a scientologist and submit to thinking only happy thoughts long enough and get rid of all your blockages to pure enlightened self-interest (and, really, denial is the only way to deal with the risk of suddenly realizing you've given all your money to a dead sceince fiction writer's cult), you are then initated into the elite nether reaches of scientology, wherein your genitals are surgically removed and you are given hormone treatments to complete the de-genderfication, like Tom Cruise. So, it is rare to be a scientologist and a slut.

I have this on great authority, as I journey out of my body to the Van Allen belt each morning before breakfast to play squash with L. Ron Hubbard. And just in case you need the tip, he's got a wicked backhand, but he's weak on the low returns. And, you can get him of fhis game if you call him "Howdy Doody," he hates that! I'm thinking of writing some clebrity fan fic about him. He's a fuckin' stud (and, secretly, the sluttiest scientologist of them all)!

Odd, I like his stories, but I have no plans to join his church. There's a line between being a good fan and being a worshipper. No thanks. I'll stick with Zeus, Hera, and the other ancient Gods and Goddesses. Besides, I like my dark thoughts now and then. As Bones said in Final Frontier, "I need my pain." Or was that Kirk who said that to Sybok? If Tom Cruise wants to become Ronnie's disciple, that's what for freedom of religion is about. Freedom to believe anything. Doesn't mean that I have to agree with him, though I refuse to boycott his films for that. :D :D :D
