Slut semantics

'Slut'. It's an often used word on this site. But is it a compliment or a criticism!? What do you mean by 'slut'? I think it means 'promiscuous', but is that necessarily bad? Considering how often it is used online, it not very used in the real world, but when I've had a guy whisper it in my ear while he's fucking me it has sent a thrill through my body... what is it about the word? What does it mean to you!?

Ahhh the word slut...

slut does not have the negative meaning with me.... it doesn't bother me, doesn't shake me up doesnt make me cry

but have a Man be fucking me and telling me that I am His slut while he is doing it.... omg

I am a sexual sensual woman.... I want a Man that will take me and guess what... I think its perfectly fine and NORMAL to be a slut for them.... heck if they don't think that I am (minus actual slow love making time) then I am obviously NOT doing something correctly

I know what you mean. But you shouldn't have to worry that you're not doing something correctly, I think a real slut would say that if her lover isn't making her feel like slut then he's not doing something correctly!

I'm a slut...for my man. Anything he wants of me, I'm more than willing to fulfill. I take it as a compliment. In HS if someone called me a slut, I knew they were a prude (cuz I really wasn't putting out, and all the guys knew it, they just knew I was more fun than their GF's)

I think the term "slut" can have both a positive and negative connotation depending on how it is used and how it is received by the recipient.

I am a "slut" for my lady and I consider her to be my "slut". This is a positive use of the term.

Conversely, I have never used the term slut in a negative way about someone else - who am I to judge that person - I have no idea what motivates them - if they are promiscuous or sexually active that is their choice - if it does not impact me personally who am I to judge? However, I have hear it used and it always seemed to me that it was some guy calling a girl a slut because she would not have sex with him and he was jealous. How this made her a slut I never knew.

I have always loved the word slut & consider myself to be one. To me a slut is a woman who has sex for the pure pleasure of it & no other reason.

The word can gave both a good/positive and bad/negative meaning.

For example here's good:
"Sandra wants to have sex with the entire football team, god she is such a horny, adventurous slut"

And here's bad:
