I am planning a grown up's slumber party with one of my friends. It will be for our friends ages 30-35. We want to try to do a lot of the same things we did when we were younger. Since she and I are both from the same part of the country, we did basically the same sorts of things...but this got me thinking...

what are the fun slumber party things you remember doing when you were growing up?

Are all slumber parties basically the same?

these are the eternal questions i seek the answers to on tonight's edition of Amelia Is Stir Crazy And Needs To Just Go Out And Get Drunk.

Can I (a 30 year old male) along with a few friends crash your slumber party? Just like old times.....:D

*brings out the water gun and starts hosing everyone down*

The only time I ever slept over at a friend's house we either watched movies or played video games, sometimes both. Then again, I'm a guy so you probably weren't asking me.

- freezing the bra of the 1st girl that fell asleep

- toiletpapering the house of the boy you had a crush on.

so, yes...all slumber parties are basically the same :)

we're going to do karaoke, do make overs, make some of that super sweet and awful punch (with the malt liquor added), and a lot more. I'm even going to give away the wine coolers that have been in my fridge for like 5ish years!

wanna come?

We had co-ed slumber parties in college- my sorority and a frat we were close with would get a cabin for the weekend. Playing "Asshole" and "I Never" was the main source of entertainment.

My girlfriends and i used to go out with big sidewalk chalk and make police outlines in the middle of town so it looked like there was a horrid accident.
We also would change all the letters in the signs with moveable type so they said dirty things. One Canadian Tire sign went from being about Exhaust and Cooling Systems Checkup, and various other specials to "cool New Upchuck" on one side, and "Heck's Drooling Spy Motel 19.99 nightly". We went back a week later and changed it to "Radiant Wet Erections draw flies". The week after, the sign had a lock on it.

of course!

i can't think of a better thing than braiding your hair, painting your nails... then sleeping together.

Calling in to the radio station and dedicating songs to the boys we were interested in.

Making prank calls - my slumber parties were in the pre-caller ID era. ;)

Making smores.

Fixing each others hair and makeup.

Manicures.

Truth or dare.

oh! i almost forgot...

light as a feather, stiff as a board. ;)

I had completely forgotten about that.

Light as a feather, stiff as a board.
Light as a feather, stiff as a board.

When we were kids. *shakes head*

The slumber parties I had were rather plain. We'd pig out on junk food and watch movies.

Peanut Butter on the toes of the first one asleep is one I remember... also ketchup or whipped cream on the hands & then tickling her face. Dipping hand of sleeping "victim" in a bowl of warm water can make some people wet the bed...

(Hmm... I guess you wouldn't want me at your slumber parties.)

Activity-wise: ouija boards AFTER watching "the excorist" (or any other scary movies we could get) and following the makeovers (which I opted out of) there was much dancing...

hope you have fun!

keesli;)

getting a couple of chick flicks and watching them..

getting a couple of horror movies and watching them...

- ice cream and peanut butter

- practice kissing

- truth of dare (practice kissing)

- I never

- strip poker

-dominos.
